Rinus de Jong (1929-2000) was a carillonneur. He studied at the Royal Carillon School (Mechelen, Belgium). He was a member of the Netherlands Klokkenspel-Vereniging. He wrote a book titled “Klokkenspulen yn Fryslan,” co-authored (with Andre Lehr and Romke de Waard) “The Singing Towers of the Netherlands,” and also published many articles. He was carillonneur of the Raadhuistoren (Hengelo, Netherlands).
