The Shafer Tower is 150 feet high and houses a 48-bell carillon. The bells were cast by the Paccard Fonderie de Cloches (Annecy-le-Vieux, FR). The van Bergen Bell Foundry (Charleston, South Carolina, US) coordinated the design and casting of the bells. Most of the mechanism was subcontracted to the I. T. Verdin Company (Cincinnati, Ohio, US).
