The Mahanay Memorial Carillon Tower is located on the Courthouse Square. The tower is 168 feet high. The tower houses a chime with 14 bells and an electric-keyboard. The chime was installed in 1966 and the bells were cast by the Petit and Fritsen Bell Foundry (Aarle-Rixtel, Holland, NL). The bells were purchased from the I. T. Verdin Company (Cincinnati, Ohio, US). 15 additional bells have been purchased, but as of February 2014, they had not been installed. In December 2014, a digital music system was installed. In addition to the chime bells, the tower houses 32 bells made by the J. C. Deagan Company (Chicago, Illinois, US).
