The Stanton Memorial Carillon is located in the campanile at Iowa State University. The campanile is 110 feet high and houses a traditional carillon of 50 bells. The carillon was begun as a chime in 1899 with 10 bells that were cast by the John Taylor Bell Foundry (Loughborough, England, GB). In 1929, the carillon was enlarged to 36 bells by the John Taylor Bell Foundry. In 1956, the carillon was enlarged to 49 bells by the John Taylor Bell Foundry. In 1967, the carillon was enlarged to 60 bells by the John Taylor Bell Foundry. The I. T. Verdin Company (Cincinnati, Ohio, US) renovated the carillon from 1992 to 1994.
