This image shows the pile driver that was used to install the 160 pilings used to stabilize the Singing Tower at the Mountain Lake Sanctuary (now Bok Tower Gardens). The date is based on the two week time frame when the pilings were driven. 'F. W. Butterworth' is written on the top of the negative. It is unclear who Butterworth was, but he may have been the F.W. Butterworth of Illinois who was a well-known brickmaker. Construction men and other equipment are visible in the image. '9' is written in the bottom right corner of the negative and references the negative number. This negative is included in a set of three books which include Mr. Burrell's photographic documentation of the construction of the Singing Tower.
