About this collection

“Sending picture postcards to the folks back home is a great American pastime.”

Postcards were very popular as a way of sending messages by mail in the early 20th century with a peak of use in the years between the two World Wars.  Postcards continue to be very collectable as souveniors for travellers wanting to retain a memory of their journeys.

Bok Tower Gardens Digital Post Card Collection creates a wonderful pictorial of the historical beauty of this National Landmark Site.  The range in years from these selected 150 items date from 1914 through the 1970s.
